Natasha graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from McMaster University.

Since graduating, Natasha has taken many post-graduate courses in order to continue to grow as a therapist and to keep up with ever-changing medical and therapeutic research. She has focused her training on manual (“hands on”)techniques and treatments with a special focus on Strain-Counterstrain, Myofascial Release and Muscle Energy Techniques. Most recently, Natasha has completed training in Advanced Rehabilitation Techniques for Breast Cancer Management and has helped many patients both during and after their cancer treatments reach their goals and return to an active and healthy lifestyle.

Natasha had worked in the field of orthopaedics for over 14 years and in this time, she has developed a keen interest in women’s health, oncology physiotherapy, working with paediatrics and sports injury rehab. She has extensive experience working with athletes at all levels, from amateur to professional and her personal favourite, the "weekend warrior". Natasha has also taken courses on Post-concussion rehabilitation, Soft Tissue release, Active Isolytic Stretching and many joint-specific courses taught by the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute.

When she is not at the clinic, Natasha can be found enjoying the great outdoors with her husband Dave and their three kids, travelling the world or finding new and adventurous ways to maintain her physical fitness. Natasha has had the honour of receiving the Stouffville Sun-Tribune Readers’ Choice Awards in 2011/2012 & 2013, with the clinic taking the overall title in 2014.

Kristen is a graduate of the Georgian College Medical Administration program. Kristen has worked in the administrative field for over 12 years. Her experience working in health care administration, specifically in the physiotherapy and rehab setting, makes her a valuable asset to our team.

Kristen has worked with motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims and insurance companies for over 10 years. This has promoted her to the role of MVA Specialist at Fusion. As our MVA Specialist, Kristen is here to help guide our patients through all aspects of an MVA claim including questions with billings, claim approvals, and anything else that may arise. Her goal is to make the process as easy and straightforward as possible for everyone. Although Kristen mainly works behind the scenes to keep Fusion running, she can still be found throughout the clinic and is always available for questions and patient support.

When Kristen isn’t working, she can be found volunteering as a Girl Guide leader or hiking through the local trails.

Erin Toth

Erin graduated from the University of Queensland in Australia with her Master ofPhysiotherapy Studies in 2011. Prior to this she received a Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Kinesiology from McMaster University.

Erin grew up in Stouffville and loves treating the people of her hometown. She uses a hands-on treatment approach coupled with an individualized exercise program to return her patients to pain-free living while also focusing on education to prevent re-injury.  Acupuncture and dry-needling may also be used as a part of her treatment plan. Always interested in learning more, Erin has taken post-graduate courses specific to evidence-based assessment and treatment of the low back and pelvis(APTEI’s Lumbo-Pelvic Complex Certification Program), thoracic spine, shoulder and other peripheral joints, concussions, and the pelvic floor (women/men).

When she’s not working, Erin enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, cycling, baking, and traveling. She also volunteered as a physiotherapist for the Pan Am games where she treated athletes and coaches from a range of sports.


Lindsay Boogaard

Lindsay graduated from McMaster University with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy. She also obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences (specializing in Rehabilitation Science) from the University of Western Ontario.

Having experience in various clinical settings, including private orthopedic clinics, hospitals, and pediatric rehabilitation facilities, Lindsay has worked with individuals of all ages, from infants to elders.

An advocate for evidence-based therapy, Lindsay is a firm believer in the importance of integrating current best evidence into her practice. She has taken post-graduate courses in the management of conditions of the peripheral joints and the spine, as well as courses specific to running injuries, post-concussion syndrome, and non-internal pelvic floor rehabilitation. Her treatment techniques include the use of manual therapy, soft tissue release, and functional exercise tailored to the specific needs of the individuals she works with.

Lindsay is keen on offering the best care possible to help her clients get back to doing the things meaningful to them, and adopts a prophylactic approach incorporating self-management strategies to prevent future injury.

Anna graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, after obtaining her Bachelor of Life Science degree at Queen’s University.

During therapy, Anna works with her patients to help them get back to doing the things that are meaningful to them. She uses an evidence-based approach: a combination of hands-on techniques, taping, functional exercise, and electrical modalities. She places great importance on educating her patients on the cause of their injury, and self-management ways to prevent re-injury. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, Anna has taken courses including soft tissue release, taping, mulligan concept, and concussion management.
  Anna has developed an interest in working in cancer rehabilitation after her internship at Princess    Anna Wong, MScPT                           Margaret Hospital, where she worked extensively with patients post-treatment to help them                Registered Physiotherapist              regain mobility and strength. Jennifer Hicke

Jennifer Hicke is a Physiotherapy graduate from the University of Western Ontario, BScPT, and a 30 year member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. As founder of Markham Physiotherapy Clinic in 1985 she built the practice into a two location multidisciplinary facility with a reputation for excellence throughout the City of Markham. Centric Health acquired her clinics in 2012 and she remained Clinic Director for the next three years.

With extensive experience in both clinical and management positions Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Fusion Physiotherapy team. Her approach to the management of spinal and joint injuries, sports injuries, and chronic pain includes the MacKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) approach as well as manual and soft tissue techniques. She has completed the McKenzie Institute curriculum. Education and independence in self-management as soon as safely possible, is her goal for patients.

Theralase Low Power Laser therapy is state-of-the-art technology used in Jennifer’s practice. Low intensity Laser treatments provide patients with a safe, effective and painless therapy that uses the body’s own natural healing systems to relieve pain, increase joint mobility, increase tissue integrity and promote cell regeneration.

Shockwave Therapy is the recognized leading treatment modality for plantar fasciitis, lateral epicondylitis, calcific tendonitis and many other inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions, as well as trigger point pain. Jennifer uses the Storz Shockwave system, from Shockwave Canada.

An evidenced based treatment approach built upon scientific research is fundamental to her practice. As such Jennifer keeps up to date with current medical publications and continues to participate in post graduate education.

Karen Bang

Karen graduated from Western University with a Master of Physical Therapy. She also completed the Kinesiology and Physical Education program at Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Science degree.

She aims to improve quality of life and functional outcomes through a combination of evidence-based techniques and individually tailored exercise programs. Her treatment sessions focus on manual therapy including techniques in soft tissue release and functional joint mobilizations to address musculoskeletal disorders. Karen motivates her clients to remain active in their rehabilitation through developing realistic and functional goals, providing thorough education and prescribing self-management strategies.She is dedicated to providing exceptional client care and continues to enhance her knowledge by attending post-graduate courses and physiotherapy association conferences. Karen has a strong interest in women’s health and plans on advancing her career in pelvic floor physiotherapy.

As a member of the Stouffville community, Karen is passionate about maintaining an active and social lifestyle to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

Zsuzsa Fedacsek-Leedle

Zsuzsa has had a strong passion for health and wellness her whole life.  After receiving her Bachelors of Science, she completed her massage therapy training at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2003.

Zsuzsa truly believes in a multi-disciplinary approach.  Her number one goal is helping her patients and their various ailments with the best treatment plan possible.  She has had the honour of working at Fusion since 2010.  Along side the amazing Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Nutritionist at this clinic, she has helped many a patient reach their healthcare goals. Zsuzsa has advanced training in trigger point therapy, myo-fascial release, pre and post natal massage, sports injuries, MVAs, work related injuries, deep tissue, autoimmune disorders, and Thai massage. She is passionate and extremely competent with both acute and chronic type injuries and conditions.

Outside of the clinic, Zsuzsa enjoys spending her time with her two wonderful children. Taking long walks with her kids is her favourite thing to do.  As a resident of Stouffville, she appreciates all that this amazing town has to offer.


Alison Bigg

Alison first chose to become a Registered Massage Therapist as it catered to both her love of people and her interest and belief in alternative healthcare.

After graduating from Sutherland-Chan Massage School in 1997, she gained valuable clinical experience working alongside Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Athletic Consultants. In 2003 she opened and operated her own massage clinic in Peterborough, Ontario where she worked predominantly in treating athletic and occupational injuries, motor vehicle accident victims as well as pre and post partum women. She sold her clinic in the spring of 2009 to move with her husband to Toronto and start a family. Most recently Alison worked at a neurological physiotherapy clinic where she treated brain and spinal cord injury patients.
Alison and her family are now very happy to have made the move from Toronto to be part of the Stouffville community.

Although Alison has expanded on her healthcare expertise by training and becoming certified in acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, hot stone therapy and reflexology she still favours her basic manual skills including trigger point therapy, fascia work and deep tissue massage.

Alison's objective as a Registered Massage Therapist is to use her education and experience to provide an alternative health option which will complement and enhance people’s lives.


Ailene Tam

Ailene’s definition of massage therapy goes beyond the notion of relaxation. For Ailene, what is of utmost importance to massage therapy is to not only help relieve pain and increase functionality, but to also maintain tissue health and integrity. Through research and evidence-based approaches, Ailene is confident enough to achieve patient’s goals through appropriate assessment and treatment.

Furthermore, Ailene has recently completed the accredited Massage Therapy Program at Humber College (2015). She was able to have hands-on experience with a variety of patient populations such as sport injuries, various types of back aches, post stroke rehabilitation, prenatal mothers, infants, musculoskeletal trauma, joint stabilization, carpal tunnel syndrome, postural imbalances, and various types of headaches. That's only a sample of what Ailene is capable of treating.

In her spare time, Ailene continues to expand her knowledge and skills pertaining to Massage Therapy by staying up to date with the latest research in the field. Outside of her career, she is an avid athlete that enjoys working out and snowboarding. In addition, Ailene enjoys spending time with her family and exploring her creativity through graphic designing.

Dr. Maathavan Thillai

Dr. Maathavan Thillai received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractor College in Toronto. He graduated with honours from the University of Toronto in2008 with a Double Major in Integrative Biology and Health Studies. In order to broaden his lower extremity (hip, knee, ankle & foot) assessment, diagnosis and treatment skills, Dr. Thillai has also completed his Certified Pedorthic Technician designation (C Ped. Tech) dealing with lower limb care including custom orthotics, knee and ankle bracing and compression socks.

Dr. Thillai is an advocate for interdisciplinary health care, and uses evidence-based practices in managing his patient's treatment plan. In addition to muscle strengthening and conditioning, he uses manual (hands-on) therapy such as soft tissue therapy (active muscle movement and instrument assisted tissue work), spinal and extremity mobilizations and adjustments. Dr. Thillai's primary goal as a chiropractor is to help facilitate normal movement and function of the body's muscles and joints.

As a resident of Stouffville and as a sports fanatic, in his spare time you may see Dr. Thillai playing basketball, baseball and tennis.

As a University of Toronto Alumni, he also gives back to his alma mater by being a Chapter member of the University of Toronto Scarborough Athletic Alumni Association.

Colleen is passionate about helping people recognize their ability to impact their life through healthy dietary choices, and loves that her career revolves around food! As a young professional, Colleen strives to bring exciting teaching tools and technology into her practice – much of which Colleen had experience with while completing her Masters of Nutrition Communications degree.

During her career, Colleen has gained professional experience while working with hospitalized patients with many medical issues including cancer, surgery, gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes and weight management challenges. Recently, Colleen furthered her professional scope of practice by becoming a Certified Diabetes Educator, a title given to health professionals who have a sound knowledge base in diabetes care/management and education processes.

In her down time, Colleen can often be found spending time walking her dog Guillermo, enjoying the outdoors, exploring a new restaurant or drinking a good cup of coffee!

Steve graduated from the University of Ontario, completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Human Resources. He is the first face that you will see when you visit Fusion, and he is happy to assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have, both in person and over the phone.

Steve provides support in a number of areas at the clinic, including scheduling, payments, direct billing, and is our certified Health & Safety representative. In his spare time, Steve enjoys baking delicious treats for the rest of our staff and attending as many Toronto Blue Jays games as possible!

Jordan is the newest member of our administrative team atFusion Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre. Jordan is a graduate of the OfficeAdministration Legal Program at Durham College and Honours History Major fromTrent University. 

She has administrative experience working in a variety of fields such as academics, legal, accounting and medical. Her friendly personality and warm smile will greet you as you come in the door and she is always ready to answer any questions you may have regarding our services.

Dave graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. He has always had a passion for health and physical fitness and he went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Education from Queen's University. He has been a Physical Health and Education teacher for the past 18 years and has experience coaching many collegiate athletic teams, including rugby, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, football and baseball. Dave is an avid athlete, enjoying a variety of sports, and he spent 4 years on the McMaster men's varsity rugby team. Dave has a passion for the great outdoors and has taken to canoeing, mountain biking and trail hiking in recent years. Dave is a certified CPR/First Aid and defibrillator instructor and has been teaching courses for the past 10 years. He can provide onsite training and customized programs for workplaces.


Physiotherapist Support Personnel (PSPs)
Physiotherapist Support Personnel (PSPs) work under the supervision of our registered physiotherapists and help to administer therapeutic modalities (IFC,ultrasound, moist heat, ice, etc.), as well as instruct and monitor exercises as prescribed by your physiotherapist. Our PSPs are clinic-trained, and come from various educational backgrounds and job experience.

Chris graduated from the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant program at Georgian College in Barrie. He also has a certificate in Rock Tapping. 

Chris has worked mostly in retirement home settings and has 500 hours of field placement experience.

In his free time Chris likes to do landscape, nature, street, and macro photography as well as mountain bike.

Co-op opportunities to students who are interested in becoming future healthcare providers.

Thanks to a partnership with the University of Waterloo, Fusion Physiotherapy is able to provide co-op opportunities to students who are interested in becoming future healthcare providers after their education is complete. By working at Fusion for a semester, our students are able to gain real-world experience in a clinical setting. Many of our students have returned for additional co-op placements, and some have even gone on to become full-time therapists at Fusion!
